DesignCrowd is an online creative marketplace that connects start-ups, businesses, and entrepreneurs with a global network of designers for custom graphic, logo, web, and print design. It also owns and manages BrandCrowd, an online logo maker.
Brief History
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 2007 by Alec Lynch, DesignCrowd launched in January 2008. It acquired Brandstack in 2011, rebranding it as BrandCrowd, and acquired Worth1000 in 2014. The company expanded to the Philippines in 2014 and received significant investments, including $6 million from AirTree Ventures in 2015.
